Number 5/10:

Q: How many grams of breast tissue equals a pound?

A: 1 pound is 453.59 grams.
Breast tissue is composed of fibrous and fatty tissue, so the volume of that pound could vary depending on the how much of each of the fibrous and fatty breast tissues you have. However, a pound is approximately 454 grams.
We will show our patients pictures of breast reductions at their consultation, and how much was removed from each to give them some idea of what each amount looks like pre- and post-operatively.
